With over 15 years in recruitment and executive search, Donna has cultivated a seemingly instinctive understanding of organizations and the marketplace. She quickly and astutely comprehends the client's needs and formulates a successful strategy for even the most difficult search.
Just prior to launching BWA Executive Search, Donna spent several years as Vice President for a well-regarded retained search firm in Southern California, where her work involved placing senior executives with a range of businesses and nonprofit organizations. For almost a decade, she was principal of her own boutique contingency search firm specializing in consumer products marketing and sales, including extensive work with emerging developers of technology-based products. In her first recruiting role, she was a top-performer with a leading financial search firm with emphases in real estate and financial services.
Her enthusiasm for entrepreneurial and innovative companies has led to engagements with several startups. Her ability to bring clarity to situations involving ambiguity and limited precedent makes her a highly effective recruiting partner for rapidly growing or transitioning environments.
Foundational to the depth of knowledge that informs Donna's work in talent acquisition is an initial career in compensation management with two major corporations in financial services and electronics distribution involving extensive job analyses and marketplace studies. She has also fulfilled key staff leadership roles within nonprofit settings and served long-term as a director on nonprofit boards.
Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Management from Pepperdine University and a Master’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Donna lives with her husband and children in a rustic lakeside community outside of Los Angeles where they relish nature, the beach and the outdoors.
